On November 19, 2025, Google expanded its restrictions on advertising land-based gambling establishments through Google Ads, adding eight new countries to the list.
With these updates, the total number of territories where such ads are prohibited has now reached 42. The changes took effect immediately upon publication.
The newly added countries include Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Northern Ireland, the Philippines, Turkey, and Ukraine.
The full list of prohibited countries now includes: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Djibouti, Egypt, Estonia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, South Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sudan, Syria, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, Vietnam, and Yemen.
The ban applies to advertising land-based casinos, gambling halls, and streaming of offline poker tournaments. Violating this policy may result in immediate suspension of the advertiser’s account without prior warning, making compliance crucial for all operators in the affected regions.
