GGPoker announced that it has banned two players for an account-sharing violation. The security team noticed the breach before Tuesday’s GGMillion$ final table.
GGPoker blocked the chip leader, “Hinaru,” before the action began and the account’s stack was blinded off on the live stream. Security also figured out who was ghosting on Hinaru’s account and banned them, as well. GGPoker is redistributing $115,752 to players impacted by the issue.
ghosting and account sharing undermine the integrity of games
In its statement, GGPoker said that ghosting and account sharing undermine the integrity of games and create unfair advantages. It warned that anyone caught doing the same thing will also face lifetime bans from the platform.
This isn’t the first recent scandal the operator has dealt with. In October, it permanently banned a user called “RealOA” who was seeking real-time strategic advice during the final table of a GGMillion$ tournament. It also indefinitely suspended Ren “Tony” Lin for giving tips to the player.
