Rangers defender Nasser Djiger just messed up so badly that viewers are joking that he must be involved in match fixing.
Rangers were playing Club Brugge on Tuesday this week in the first leg of two in the UEFA Champions League playoffs. The Belgian Pro League team dominated their Scottish opponents, ending the game 3-1 victors with goals from Romeo Vermant, Jorne Spileers, and Brandon Mechele all within 20 minutes of the first half.

Djiga instead decides to run in the opposite direction, crossing the path of Vermant and allowing the striker to run on to the ball. Presumably, Djiga thought goalkeeper Jack Butland would run to the ball. However, many on social media are jokingly claiming Djiger must be involved in match fixing to mess up so badly.
Others have offered an alternative theory. “Na that’s just glorious Rangers,” @twommey2 wrote. While another user called @tyrannosaursred said simply: “Just very sh*t tbh.”
Whatever the case, Rangers fans are less than impressed with their team’s performances recently. The team are sitting sixth in the Scottish Premiership after two games this season, with draws against Motherwell and Dundee so far. They finished second to Celtic last season with 75 points to Celtic’s 92.
