Taylor Swift’s surprise announcement of the title of her 12th studio album has drawn the attention of Las Vegas showgirls.
Swift broke the news at 12:12am Eastern time Tuesday on an outtake from an upcoming episode of the New Heights podcast. While more will be revealed on the Travis and Jason Kelce-hosted show on Wednesday, the album’s title, The Life of a Showgirl, has already gotten the tongues of its titular subjects wagging.

“Just because you put feathers on your head and wear something that sparkles doesn’t make you a showgirl,” said Sarah Sutter, a former Crazy Girls and Jubilee cast member. Sutter’s fellow cast member in the above shows, Dani Elizabeth, said she would “love to see” Swift wearing a traditional, Full Monty showgirl outfit, “walking down a flight of 40 stairs, wearing a 10-pound hat and 4-inch heels.”
The clip, which showgirl Jade Simone shared on Instagram, revealed Swift surprising the Kelce brothers by pulling out her new album, albeit with the cover blurred out, and telling the world its title.
Simone cheekily superimposed a photo of herself onto Swift’s blurred album cover, stating. “So happy to finally confirm that I was @taylorswift’s latest muse for #TS12!”
The comedy showgirl who is also the on-stage and life partner of Piff the Magic Dragon, however, extended a welcome to Swift. “My crazy team is already reaching out in case she comes to Vegas.”
